CHEN LENG
Chen Leng, born in 1991 in Guangdong, graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and currently lives and works in Shanghai.
Chen Leng’s creation is based on his own aesthetic preferences and a need of exploring the outwards with spontaneity. Not limited by collective consciousness’ labeling, his work is supported by the phenomenon and essence of daily objects, constructing abstract or intuitive expressions closely related to his own experience. Chen’s creation motive involves short-term thoughts and long-term accumulated experiences, conveyed through a lighthearted and direct aesthetic. His practice covers videos, sculptures, installations, and paintings.
