Wang Hua graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree. He has been based in Jingdezhen since 2014, and obtained a master’s degree from the Royal College of Art in 2018. Wang’s paintings revolve around materiality and functionality, exploring multiple possibilities of materials. She juxtaposes various topics related to humanity, sociality, and natural laws for discussion, and uses a variety of three-dimensional production techniques to reproduce the narrative text she feels about. Recent exhibitions and projects include Intertwining (Gene Gallery, Shanghai, 2021), Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai (Shanghai, 2021), “Wang Painting: Help, All, Indifference, Melting, Becoming, Atrium, One Piece” (TAP, Beijing, 2021), “Neither Increasing Nor Decreasing” (The Ceramic, 2021), etc. She participated in the “Miss Dior, 12 Women Artists” project in Paris in 2021, and interprets the fluid femininity with her outdoor sculptures.
