Gene Gallery is delighted to announce the solo exhibition “Sleepwalkers” by Angela Maasalu, from 13 July 2024 to 12 August 2024.
Groundless alterations of reality, with continued formations of truth. Sleepwalkers by Angela Maasalu skids through these concepts, challenging the audience to find humour, compassion, and understanding within the metaphysical worlds she creates.
Referencing multiple themes from love to imperialism, an invitation to flow through ambiguity forces an introspection into one’s view of modern-day humanity.

Inspired by the evolving zeitgeist that clouds contemporary thinking, the challenges posed within Sleepwalkers expose the uncomfortable truths in our subconscious. Removing the veils from these, and those that play a parental role in their birth, the metaphorical candle disrupting darkness’ reign.
