Gene Gallery is delighted to announce the group exhibition "ASPHALT", Artist: Catalina Milea, Chen Paian, Feng Zhixuan, Pao-Leng Kung, Guo Yage, Gao Yingpu, Gong Ziwei, Jin Jiachen, Lei Tong, Ran Kai, Wang Qianyi, Wang Xuan, Wu Yumo, Zhang Haoyan, Zhang Lingrui, Zhu Xiangmin, and Zheng Yi. The exhibition is from April 20 to May 19, 2024.
Asphalt: a product of crude oil processing, a diverse and complex organic mixture formed by different raw materials and methods of production, difficult to clearly categorize and identify, commonly used in paving roads. Using this as a metaphor, the exhibition threads are interspersed with two stories：
As a kind of isolating medium, clearly separating the original ecology underneath and the new blueprint to be unfolded on top of it, the seventeen artists use their personal paths to link up the future imagination of the past tense with the continuous archaeology of the past in the future, using the present as the node to base themselves on the scene of the times and depicting the boundaries of "new";
